Coffee Lovers Fall Blog Hop with an Owl Card by Lexa

Hello everyone!  We are so happy to be participating in the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog hop today!  You should be arriving here from Stampendous Blog or you can start from the beginning A Jillian Vance Designs.

It's Lexa here today with a card highlighting the Happy Owl-o-ween Stamps and the coordinating dies. This adorable little owl is just too cute to be true.  He can be a pirate or even turn into a princess. Today the dressed up owls are up to something...

...They are sharing some cups and hanging around together. I paired this set with an older set called Mug Hugs. Even though the size of the cups look gigantic, I still think they look good together. They each have their own favorite. I use the Stitched Scallop Borders dies on the bottom.  I think the scalloped edge looks so cute. I use a stencil with Shaded Lilac Distress Ink to create my background. I mixed a sentiment from both stamp sets to create a perfect one that goes well with the images from the card.  Some crystal clear sequins in various sizes completes my card.

Autumn Greetings and Pretty Pumpkins Thank You Card with Vanessa

Hello everyone! Vanessa here with a fall themed card using Autumn Greetings and Pretty PumpkinsI chose to create a green pumpkin with the wonderful layered stamps for a different look.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Autumn Greetings and Pretty Pumpkins Fall Themed Thank You Card by Vanessa Menhorn

First, I trimmed a panel of checked patterned paper slightly smaller than my card base, stamped the sentiment and heat-embossed it with gold embossing powder. Now I stamped the leaves, hearts and swirls and added droplets of green and gold ink. After everything was dried, I adhered the panel to the card.

I stamped the pumpkin image onto white cardstock, die-cut it with the coordinating die and adhered it to the card with foam tape. Finally, I added gold sequins.

I hope you like my green pumpkin! Thanks for stopping by today!

Cute As A Button and Vintage Jar Shaker Card with Amy

Hello everyone, Amy here today with a card using the new Cute As A Button stamp set, along with the Vintage Jar stamp set. I think these two pair well together to make a fun shaker card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Cute As A Button and Vintage Jar Shaker Card by Amy Yang

To begin, I die-cut a trimmed white cardstock using the Vintage Jar die to create my shaker window. I placed another trimmed white cardstock behind it, and stamped the Vintage Jar with gray ink to make the back panel, and set that aside. I then placed a heat resistant acetate behind it, and stamped the jar with Versamark ink and heat set it with silver embossing powder. I adhered this behind the front panel.

Next, I stamped the buttons and the jar lid with various dye inks. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink on black cardstock and heat set white embossing powder.

To assemble the card, I adhered the back panel to a light blue card base. I added double layers of foam adhesive around the stamped jar and all along the perimeters . After, I added some beads and buttons to the middle and closed it with the front panel.

To finish, I added a strip of pattern paper to the front panel for color and interest. I mounted the trimmed sentiment, jar lid, and buttons with foam tape as shown.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. Thank you for stopping by!

Missing Ewe Pretty Pastel Shaker Card with Nancy

Hey there friends, Nancy here with a closer looks at the very cute Missing Ewe stamp and steel die. I love a good pun and this one delivers. It’s sure to bring a smile to a loved one. They won’t be able to help it with this cuteness overload.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Missing Ewe Pretty Pastel Shaker Card by Nancy Damiano

To create my card, I used a white card for the base and lined the bottom with a wide strip of patterned paper. This was my jumping point for the colors of the card. Next, I created a shaker box full of tiny stars, sequins and crystals. The jumping lamb was colored with Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke, Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar (for the cheeks). I chose a watercolor medium to keep in line with the soft look of the card. Two flags were cut out of melon colored cardstock and layered with a glittery enamel dot.

I love the tiny script sentiment in the Missing Ewe die set. On this card, it's highlighted right in the center of the top flag. A sprinkle of sequins creates some movement in this simple design.

Take a closer look at the Missing Ewe stamp set for all of your warm pun wishes. The intricate steel die creates a sentiment that is beautiful and really pops!

Pet Sympathy Lots of Love Sympathy Card with Eloise

Hi everyone, Eloise here and today I have a card to share using the Pet Sympathy stamp set and coordinating dies. This set is very versatile and can be used for various occasions. Today I'll be using it as a sympathy set - but the possibilities are endless.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pet Sympathy Lots of Love Heart Background Sympathy Card by Eloise Blue

To begin my card, I used a stencil I made to ink blend the background. I cut down a piece of white cardstock, and laid my stencil over top. To make this stencil I used the Stitched Heart Dies (the little ones included in the set) and cut out a random pattern of them out of some acetate. Once I had a nice arrangement of them, the stencil was done and I can use it. Using acetate means you can use it over and over again! I used some Festive Berries Distress Ink and ink blended over it, going darker in the centre and lighter on the outside.

Once my background was done I stamped my images onto some more white cardstock and coloured them in with Copic markers. Once the colouring was done I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I adhered my images with foam tape onto my background and then stamped the sentiment below with black ink. I adhered my panel onto a card base that I adhered some green plaid patterned paper on top of and that finished up my card for today.

I hope you enjoyed, got inspired to create your own stencil with dies and I'll catch you next week.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Mixing Stamps Cards with Waleska Galindo

Hello friends! Waleska Galindo here with a set of cards with the amazing Sunny Studio Stamps. Thank you so much Mendi for having me as a Guest Designer today! I called this post Mixing Stamp Sets because there are lots of great cards you can make mixing the stamp sets you already have with new ones, all you have to do is think outside the box ... having a Christmas stamp set doesn't mean you can't use it for Halloween!! let me share with you how.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Halloween Card by Waleska Galindo (using Happy Owl-o-ween & Woodsy Creatures)

For my first card I used the new Happy Owl-o-ween stamp set, I wanted to create a night scene and I wanted to put the cute owls on a fence so I created the fence with the trunk from Woodsy Creatures stamp set by stamping the trunk on desert storm cardstock and glue all the trunks together to create the fence. For the night sky I used distress inks Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I stamp and color the owls with markers and glue them to be on the fence waiting for the time to start trick or treating.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Halloween Card by Waleska Galindo (using Halloween Cuties, Happy Owl-o-ween & Holiday Style)

For my second card I wanted to make a very spooky night scene. To make the spooky tree branches I used the Holiday Style Christmas set, but when I stamped the branches in black they totally change from Christmas to Halloween, I used distress ink Seedless Preserves and Black Soot for the night sky and for the moon I used Squeezed Lemonade. I color all my images with markers, to finish the spooky scene I added three bats from the Halloween Cuties stamp set. In the end I think is too hard for this cute stamps to be spooky...they are simply to cute!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Barnyard Buddies Pigs on the Farm Card by Waleska Galindo

For this next card I used the new and adorable piggie from Barnyard Buddies and I mix it with Island Getaway. I used the island as a mud puddle for the piggies to be playing, the splashes are from the island getaway stamp set too.  For the mud puddle I used Oxide ink Vintage Photo mixed with a little water, for the grass distress ink Mowed Lawn and for the sky I used Tumbled glass Distress Ink. The rest of the images are colored with markers.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Pirate Pals Girl Pirate Card by Waleska Galindo

For the last card I mix two of my favorite stamp sets from all time the Magical Mermaid stamp set and the Pirate Pals stamp set. I created this cute pirate girl by changing the face of the pirate and adding the pirate hat to the mermaid face. I created the striped background with distress ink Shaded Lilac and post-it label tape. I used some of the stamps from the Pirate Pals stamp set to create the map and color the images with markers! I have to say my daughter loved this pirate girl so much!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you have many SUNNY days ahead!
